Michele's Retirement Party

Hello everyone,

I have sooo much to catch up on, I'm sorry! But now that school is over, I have a bunch more time and I want to make sure I show everything I've been working on.

The new Stampin' Up catalogue went live on June 1st. Michele had her retirement party on the 6th to sell her retired stamps and showcase some of the new things. I bought a ton of her retired items as well as placed a huge order from the new catalogue from her.

She had a Make and Take available for us to do. It used a bunch of the new in colors and a new Stamp set called Papaya Collage.

She also had a nice little gift for each of us who registered :)

It was filled with chocolate, yum! Thanks Michele!

She also held her June class on the same day. These are the projects we made!

Michele hand cut all the apples and chalks!! Wow! Michele's the best!

Michele had these already made for us :) So we didn't have to struggle with making the rosettes and gluing them!

We made a little notepad!

A gift card holder! This is so super cute! I wish I had kids that had teachers to give this to, lol.

And last we made a coaster :) We used Mod Podge and Crystal Effects to make this.

If you love these projects, you should think about joining craft club or coming to Michele's card classes if you are in the Detroit area! Here is the link for her website: http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/michelebarker/

Michele also took the time to make each of us a thank you card for coming to her retirement party. Here's the card she gave me (I love it!!)

Thanks for taking time to look!

Happy Hexagons and Lovely Layers

Hey everyone,

So as promised, here at the pictures of cards I've made using the Happy Hexagons set from Papertrey Ink as well as some other their other new stamps from the June release. I'm loving my PTI stamps!!

This is CASed from Nichole Heady's blog. The original post can be found here. I added Royal Velvet satin ribbon and some basic jewels from SU.

This is CASed from Nichole Heady's blog. The original post can be found here. I added the Notched Flowers die cut in Simply Chartreuse and Pure Poppy felt, added a Summer Sunrise Button and then a pearl from SU to the center. I also added Real Red 1/8 in Taffeta Ribbon.

This was made using Royal Velvet cardstock as well as a patterned pack from Recollections that I picked up from Michaels. I used the We Go Together Stamp set from the June release.

I used the following colors for this card: Pure Poppy, Orange Zest, Harvest Gold, New Leaf, Blueberry Sky, and Royal Velvet. The sentiment is from the Movers and Shakers Stamp set. I also added a Hibiscus Burst Button and some pink bakers twine. I finished the card with some Bling Mesh that I found here.

I used the following colors for this card: Winter Wisteria, Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores, and Harvest Gold. I used a sentiment from the Simply Jane stamp set. I added some Raspberry Fizz Pattern Cardstock to the side. Lastly, I cut 3 flowers out of the Die-namics MINI Rolled Roses from My Favorite Things. I used Hawaiian Shores, Raspberry Fizz, and Vintage Creme felt from PTI.

For this card, I used the same colors as the one above, but I just stamped on the cardstock instead of using the cutout hexagons. The sentiment is from the Think Big Favorites #17 that was just released. I stamped in Royal Velvet on Winter Wisteria cardstock. The flowers are from the Happy Hydrangea Stamp Set, and I cut them out using the matching dies. I stamped them in New Leaf, Winter Wisteria, and Raspberry Fizz ink. I added some Harvest Gold satin ribbon to finish off the card.

Papertrey Ink Haul June 2012

Hello everyone!

I hope you're all having a fabulous Tuesday :) I am! I've been a busy bee in my craft room! I've been stamping like crazy! My friend Michele came over last week and we did some cards, then I went to craft club on Sunday and I made some cards and a scrapbook layout! I'll take pictures and upload them later today! And then my friends Emily and Stephanie came over last night and Emily and I made some really cute cards using the new Papertrey Ink June release products (we cased them from Nichole Heady's blog!) as well! So I made a Papertrey Ink haul video to show you what I got from the new release, as well as showed you the cards I've made with the new stuff. I have the video and I will add in the pictures later, I just need to take them. So I will be doing an edit to this post to add the pictures of the cards!

I also just filmed another video using a stamp set from The Stamps of Life! So I'll just get that uploaded and add that to my blog as well! I'm planning on doing lots of crafting today and I've already got my stuff ready downstairs for another video! I just had to get the Stamps of Life one off my camera so I would have room!!

So anyway, here's my haul video, I hope you enjoy!

Wishing you the Berry Best

Hello everyone!

It is my second day of summer!!! I'm officially done with work for the summer :) Yesterday was my first day of watching my niece this summer. Let's just say she didn't take a nap yesterday... I must fix that tomorrow.

Anyway, I've been down in my craft room several times over the last couple days! I've finally had time, and I've been so excited! I've got a bunch of cards to turn into videos this week so I'll get right on that :) But to keep you going until then, here's a video I made about a month ago and I just never posted it on here. I've been bad about that. But like I've said, I'll have much more time this summer to craft, and I already have! So I'll have plenty of time to post! This is a set using all Papertrey Ink products and Elegant Edges. I used the Papertry Ink felt for the first time! I love love love it! I hope you guys give it a try!

Anyway, enjoy :)

ONE MORE DAY!!

Guess what! Tomorrow is the last day for students!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!! This has been such a hard hard year for me and I'm relieved that I made it through. I'm glad I'll be getting a new bunch of kids next year, and hopefully I'll actually get them to start off so I'll be able to mold them a little better.

Anyway, I wanted to share a card that I recently made using new Papertrey Ink products from the May release. I got the inspiration for the one of the design team members, Debbie Olson. Here's the link to her card.

http://debbiedesigns.typepad.com/muse_and_amuse/2012/05/may-2012-pti-release-in-review.html

And here's my card.

Instead of using Copic markers like she did, I used Bic Markits. I also used Mudd Puddles sand. The sand on the card is actually sand mixed with glue.

Here's the video tutorial I made for this card. I hope you enjoy!

Craft Room Tour

Hey everyone,

I've been gone for so long... It's just so hard to find time to post on my blog. I try to watch videos, make my own videos, edit my videos, craft in general, and do my lesson plans, so that leaves my blog to the wayside.

I've got a ton of videos that I've posted on youtube since my last post, so I hope you go check them out.

School is out in 2 weeks, and so I'm hoping to have a ton more time! We'll see. Anyway, one video that I would like to make sure I post here is my new craft room tour. I moved into my sister's condo in March, and finally was able to finish up my new craft room. It's huge and I love it and I wanted to share it with you!

There are 2 parts because the video got to be too long...

I hope you enjoy! I'm working on uploading another video right now, so I'll try to get that posted with some pictures here. I'm sorry again that I've been MIA :( I'm trying to do better, lol.

Have a great day everyone!
