This is about a week late, but last week we had grades due, so I was spending a lot of my time grading papers. Also, Tuesday was my birthday!!! Happy Birthday me :) I'm a quarter of a century old now... Lol, still a youngin, but feeling old (wish I could go back to college when times were easier!) I made off pretty good huh!!
Anyway, I had a little time to craft this weekend, but I spent most of it trying to finish The Hunger Games. I got the book on Thursday, and I've got about 100 pages left. Andy and I went to see the movie on Saturday, and I really liked it! Now I just need to finish the book even though I know what is going to happen. I bought the second one yesterday, so I'll have that when I'm done.
Also, this week Michele came over and crafted with me!! I was so excited for her to come over!!! She worked on covering card keeper boxes from the Stampin' Up Holiday Mini, and I worked on thank you cards for my mom. She is doing the 3 day walk for breast cancers, so I'm making thank you cards she can send to the people who donate. I'll made a video and show you. I've only got about 9 done, but I've got parts of more done. I ran out of ribbon so I had to get more. I only got 2 done on Wednesday though because my Gypsy had to update my cricut :( So that took a bit of time. I did the rest last night. I also made an Easter card which I hope to film this week and get up. I'll be making some more of that Easter card and hopefully 1 more design so I can get them out by tomorrow or Wednesday... I also think I'm going to come up with an idea for a card for my students to make... The ones who earn it that is. I told them they needed to earn 22 beads this week by Thursday to have enough to make the card. I'm sure I'll only have about half of my students, if that, making a card. Oh well. They'll learn when the kids who like to push my buttons aren't doing the activity and doing work instead.
Anyway, a little over a week ago, my coworker asked me to make a card for her mom's birthday. She told me her mom likes sunflowers and shopping. I decided to go with the shopping theme and see what I could come up with. Here is a video for the card I came up with.

The funny thing is, I went to a card class with my demonstrator Michele the same day, and we made a birthday card using the sunflower background stamp.
She ended up buying both of them from me, and gave me $10 for them!! That was my first card sale ever!! I've given some to people before, but I've never had anyone actually buy them! Yay :) Everyone keeps telling me to sell them, but I feel bad charging people for them, or I just don't know who to sell them to. I might ask my hair dresser if I can display some cards at her house to see if any of her clients would like to buy any. It's just about getting out there and seeing who you know.
Anyway, I've got some other news, but this post is long enough, so I'll put it in another post.
